Anti-Bullying Resources From Coalition Partners
Dec 04, 2008
The No Name-Calling Coalition is made up of nearly 50 education, youth advocacy, human services and mental health organizations that work together to spread the word about ending name-calling in schools (for a full listing of partners, click here).
Below are resources developed by our partners that take on the issue of bullying in a way that combines their individual organizational goals with those of the No Name-Calling Week project. Check them out!
It Takes A Team!
Concerned about name-calling in sports? It Takes A Team! is an education campaign for LGBT issues in sport that is a project of the Women's Sports Foundation. It is focused on eliminating homophobia as a barrier to all women and men participating in sport. The information at the links below is designed specifically to illustrate how your school's athletic department can participate in No Name-Calling Week:
It Takes A Team! (home page)
In addition to activities designed specifically for physical education and athletics, It Takes A Team offers a 15 minute video highlighting the experiences of high school and college gay and lesbian athletes. Schools who want to address name-calling in physical education and athletics can order the video, posters and safe space stickers specifically for athletics for $10 to cover postage and handling.
